Privacy Policy

3DLabTools is a browser-based Tools, Labs and Resources project operated under the 3DLabTools name. The 3DLabTools project operator is responsible for the personal data described here. Reach the operator at 3dlabtools@gmail.com or through our Contact page.

This policy covers the public website, accounts, saved models, shared previews, interactive labs and Resource downloads. Terms of Use govern platform use; License explains Resource and content licensing.

If you register, we process your email address, authentication credentials through Supabase, account identifier and session information. Your profile can include a username, display name, biography and avatar. Email is used for account authentication and account-related communications.

Public profile pages can display your username, display name, biography, avatar and public content. Account email addresses are not intended as public profile fields. Avoid putting information you want to keep private in public profile fields.

When you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments you send. The Contact page prepares a draft in your email application; it does not submit a message to a website form backend. Its fields are passed to your email application when you choose to open the draft. Send the email there to deliver it.

We use correspondence to respond to support, licensing, privacy and business requests. Send only information needed for your request, and never send passwords or access tokens.

Requests to the website, API and infrastructure providers expose technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser or device information and request time. Infrastructure and application diagnostics can record request status, errors, upload timing, file size and related identifiers to operate the service and investigate failures or abuse.

If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics also receives page and interaction information, browser and device information and technical connection data. Current custom events identify the Resource or article and the tool or lab link used; they do not intentionally include uploaded file contents or account email addresses.

Opening a local file in a browser tool can process that file on your device. When you choose a feature that uploads or saves a model, its file, filename, size, model metadata, previews and related settings are sent to our service. Cloudflare R2 stores uploaded model files and media; Supabase stores account and application records. Saved lab parameters and display settings can also be associated with your account.

Local processing does not mean every feature is offline. Loading hosted Resources, saving, sharing and retrieving content uses network requests. Public sharing or embeds make selected content accessible through public links and potentially your public profile. Others may copy shared content; making it private or deleting it cannot remove copies they already obtained.

You retain ownership of your uploads. Do not upload personal, confidential or sensitive information unless you have the necessary rights and intend the selected processing and sharing.

• Provide accounts, authentication, profiles, uploads, previews, saved experiments, sharing and downloads.
• Respond to requests and manage content or licensing questions.
• Keep the service secure, enforce platform rules and diagnose reliability issues.
• Understand usage and improve the site through optional Analytics when you consent.
• Meet applicable legal obligations and handle legitimate rights requests.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, applicable legal obligations, and consent for optional cookies and related processing. You can withdraw optional consent at any time.

Necessary cookies and browser storage support authentication, security, your consent choice and features you request, such as viewer camera bookmarks. Rejecting optional categories does not disable these functions.

• Necessary: always on for the functions above.
• Preferences: optional personalization. No optional preference services are currently connected.
• Analytics: Google Analytics page and interaction measurement, including its first-party cookies.
• Marketing: advertising-related signals in the existing Google tag, when Analytics is also enabled. No separate advertising scripts are currently installed.

Optional categories start off. In the 3DLabTools banner, choose Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. That banner stores your choice, consent version and date in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. An expired or incompatible choice prompts you again. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page and may need to be made again on your next visit.

Where Google Privacy & Messaging is enabled, its certified consent message replaces the 3DLabTools banner for visitors the service identifies as covered by EEA, UK or Swiss regulations. Google’s message lets you accept, reject or manage specific purposes and vendors. It records choices using the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF), including a TC String that communicates those choices to participating services. The provider manages that record and its renewal; a local category choice does not create vendor consent. The consent service receives technical request information needed to deliver the message and determine which regulations apply. If consent cannot be verified, optional analytics and marketing remain off.

Cookie Settings is also available in the footer. Where the Google message applies, Cookie Settings reopens that provider’s purpose and vendor controls. Elsewhere it opens the 3DLabTools preferences. Changes apply without an account. Reopening the Google message pauses optional collection while choices are renewed. Withdrawal disables future Analytics collection, blocks future optional initialization and attempts to remove the existing integration’s first-party Analytics cookies. Already loaded code cannot be fully unloaded, and withdrawing consent cannot recall data already sent. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser.

The existing Google Analytics tag loads only after Analytics consent. We use Google Consent Mode to default optional storage and advertising signals to denied and update them after your choice. Marketing consent alone does not initialize Analytics. Where Google’s certified consent message applies, we use its separate Analytics and advertising signals and its TCF purpose/vendor choices; missing or unconfigured signals do not grant consent. Advertising signals remain denied when the required choices are not granted.

Google processes information according to its Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. If advertising is introduced, this policy and consent implementation must be reviewed for those additional services.

• Cloudflare: website/API hosting and delivery, network security, operational logs and R2 storage for uploaded files and media.
• Supabase: authentication, account/session handling, profiles and application database records.
• Sanity: published Guides and Blog content and their images. Public content is queried by the website; image delivery can expose ordinary technical request data to Sanity’s CDN.
• Google: consent-controlled Google Analytics, Gmail for correspondence sent to our contact address, and, where enabled, Privacy & Messaging for consent notices, purpose/vendor choices and TCF consent records.

Providers receive information needed to perform their functions. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users or others, or handle a rights dispute. Public sharing and links to external source sites have the visibility and provider implications described above; external sites have their own policies.

The Support 3DLabTools links open Ko-fi, an external service: either on Ko-fi’s own page, or in a form from Ko-fi shown in a window on a Resource page. If you choose to contribute, you enter your payment details and complete the payment on Ko-fi and its payment providers, not on 3DLabTools.

Ko-fi and its payment providers may process personal and transaction information under their own privacy policies. Information you choose to share with Ko-fi, such as your name, email address or a message, may be available to the creator according to Ko-fi’s applicable policies and settings.

Opening the Support dialog on a Resource page loads Ko-fi’s form from ko-fi.com; until you open it, no request is made to Ko-fi and 3DLabTools adds no cookies or tracking for it. Once Ko-fi’s form or page is loaded, Ko-fi and its payment providers may use their own cookies and similar technologies under their policies. Please review the privacy policies of Ko-fi and its payment providers before you contribute. See also the Support page.

Account and saved-content records remain available while needed to provide your account and requested features, unless you delete content or request account/data deletion. You can delete saved models through the dashboard and manage supported saved-content and sharing settings. Deleting a model attempts to remove its stored file, thumbnail and database record; failed cleanup may require operator attention.

There is no self-service account-deletion endpoint in the current product. Email 3dlabtools@gmail.com for account deletion, data access or other privacy requests. We may verify account control before acting.

Support correspondence, operational/security logs, provider backups and records needed for legal obligations or disputes can have different retention periods. We retain these only as needed for their purpose and applicable obligations; immediate removal from every backup or previously shared copy cannot be guaranteed. Exact provider backup/log retention settings are not published here. Contact us for information about your data.

We use HTTPS on the public service, provider-managed authentication, ownership and access checks, database access policies and controls for uploads and private content. Security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials, review sharing settings and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. These rights may have legal exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out on that basis.

Use available account/content settings or email 3dlabtools@gmail.com with your request. Include the account email and relevant content URL where helpful. Do not include your password. Optional cookie choices are managed separately in Cookie Settings.

Our infrastructure, content, authentication, analytics and email providers operate internationally. Your information may be processed outside your country, where data protection rules may differ. Where applicable, international processing must use safeguards required by law and the relevant provider arrangements. Contact us for information about the processing locations or safeguards relevant to your request.

3DLabTools is intended for a general audience of creators, developers and learners and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or send us personal data if you are under 13 or below the applicable minimum age in your location. Minors who can use the service should do so with a parent or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion where appropriate.

We may update this policy as the product or processing changes. The update date appears at the top of this page. Material changes to optional processing require a review of the consent notice and version so a previous choice is not treated as consent to a new purpose.
