Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the 3DLabTools website, Tools, Labs, accounts, model hosting, previews, sharing and Resource download features. The service is operated under the 3DLabTools project name. Contact the project operator at 3dlabtools@gmail.com.

By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. Personal data is covered separately by our Privacy Policy. Resource and content licensing is covered by License and each Resource’s displayed license.

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required in your location. If you are a minor, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission. You must have authority to agree to these terms for any organization you represent.

Provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for reviewing your public profile and sharing settings. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Some tools work locally in your browser; saving, hosting, public sharing and certain downloads require network access or an account. Use supported features within their displayed file, storage and usage limits.

You retain ownership of files, models and other content you upload or process. Uploading does not transfer ownership to 3DLabTools or automatically apply CC0, the Original Content license or another public license.

You grant 3DLabTools a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, copy, process, convert, generate previews of and deliver your content only as needed to provide the features you request. This includes using service providers for those tasks and displaying or sharing content according to your selected visibility, public-link and embed settings.

This permission lasts while needed to provide those features and complete deletion or necessary backup/legal retention described in the Privacy Policy. Public recipients may retain copies already obtained. Changing visibility cannot recall those copies.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for your content and the processing or sharing you select. Keep your own backups and do not upload unlawful material or another person’s confidential information without permission.

Platform access and Resource licensing are separate. Every download and later use is subject to the license displayed on that Resource’s detail page, including source, attribution and redistribution requirements. Review those details before use.

See License for Original content, CC0, CC BY and medical/HRA source licensing. These platform terms do not replace, expand or override an asset’s license. Hosting a third-party Resource does not make 3DLabTools its owner.

Do not use the service to:

• Break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, impersonate others or distribute abusive or unlawful content.
• Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, private files, administrative functions or infrastructure.
• Evade access checks, download restrictions, rate limits or technical safeguards.
• Disrupt the service or abuse automated requests, hosting, processing or storage in ways that harm others or impair availability.
• Misrepresent a Resource’s creator or license, or remove attribution required by that license.

The 3DLabTools name, branding, interface, website software, documentation and original site content are owned by or licensed to 3DLabTools unless otherwise stated. These terms give you permission to use the available service; they do not transfer platform ownership or grant a general license to its source code or branding.

Third-party software and content retain their own licenses. Your uploads retain your ownership, and Resource rights remain governed separately as described above.

The service relies on infrastructure and content providers and may link to third-party source or license pages. Their availability and terms can affect those features. Our Privacy Policy identifies current providers and how personal data is handled.

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted service or compatibility with every browser, device or file. Tools marked beta, alpha or experimental can fail or produce incomplete results. Review generated files, geometry, previews and exports before using them in production.

Tools, simulations and medical/anatomical Resources are for creative, educational, research and visualization workflows. They are not professional medical advice or a diagnostic or treatment service. Keep independent copies of important files and validate results for your intended use.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or error-free operation. We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of every tool result or third-party asset. Mandatory consumer rights and any non-excludable legal protections remain in effect.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, 3DLabTools and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, business opportunities or data, arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. You remain responsible for backups, checking outputs and selecting content suitable for your workflow.

We may restrict access, suspend an account or remove content where reasonably necessary to address violations of these terms, unlawful content, security threats, abuse or legal obligations. Contact us to ask about a restriction or report an error.

You may stop using the service at any time, delete supported saved content and request account/data deletion using the Privacy Policy contact process. Ending platform access does not change a Resource license that already applies to a downloaded asset. Terms intended to survive, such as ownership and liability provisions, continue to apply.

You may choose to make an optional contribution toward the hosting, cloud storage, infrastructure, maintenance and development of 3DLabTools. Contributions are entirely voluntary.

• A contribution does not purchase a product, feature, subscription or service, and does not unlock additional functionality.
• All free tools and public downloads remain accessible whether or not you contribute.
• We do not promise exclusive benefits or rewards in return for a contribution.
• Contributions support general platform maintenance, infrastructure and development.

Support links open Ko-fi, an external service that processes the payment, either on its own page or in a form embedded in a window on 3DLabTools. 3DLabTools does not process payments or receive your payment details. Payment-related matters, including fees and any refund request, are subject to the terms and procedures of Ko-fi and its payment providers and to applicable law. See the Support page and the Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective/update date is shown above. Review the current terms when using the service. Changes to platform terms do not silently relicense previously downloaded Resources.
